VSD Flag

The flag of the State Security Department is a blue colour fabric trimmed up in silver fringes. In the language of symbols blue colour signifies loyalty, strength and honesty. On one side the flag is charged with a centrally positioned Lithuanian coat of of arms - silver knight – against the red background with a stylized silver halberd behind. The state coat of arms is surrounded by silver laurel leaves.

The other side of the flag bears an image of silver griffin standing on its hind feet and in its front claws holding a ribbon-sized banner with a slogan in Latin „Patria et veritas” (“Homeland and truth”). The flag is framed in silver strips with centrally pointing halberds depicted at the corners.
